Day 282: Water drops

We need water to sustain life but it can also take it away.  As most of Australia would have witness in the last 24 hours.  Not only is one third of Queensland under water, late yesterday Toowoomba feel victim to further devastation of flash floods, loss of life and property.  Mother Nature’s fury can be very cruel at times; it tests our resolve and sometimes breaks us.  In a land of extremes bushfires burn in WA with already 2,000ha of bushland lost with four homes.  It certainly is a tough time for a lot of Australians at the moment, and for those of us not in the flood and bushfire zones our thoughts are with you.  Today, I’m taking my artist licence, using my imagination, with the raindrops we had this morning, as tears falling from the sky but forming hearts (especially the one on the right hand side) when they bounce back from the ground.  So heartfelt thoughts to you all in trouble and hope that you get back on your feet soon with that fighting Australian Spirit that we all seem to find when times are arduous.
