Day 64 – Playing with Fire.

There is something about sitting around a camp fire.  The embers heating from within and flames dancing up into the sky.  It can be very memorising, even without happy juice.  Fire has been used for comfort, warmth, cooking and survival.  There are many myths, and rituals in different cultures about fire.  In Greek mythology Prometheus a Greek titan, stole fire from the Greek god Zeus and gave it to humans.  For which he was punished for eternity.  Tied to a rock and an eagle ate his liver daily, it grew back overnight, as he was immortal.  Thank goodness for him Hercules came to his rescue.  I’m thinking it was a good thing not to be living in the times of ancient Greece; especially if you messed with the gods.
