Day 149 - Winter flown on by

The last day of winter and nothing could be seen but blue skies and sunshine.  With the temperature climbing, I think winter finished back in July, but it is all good.  So with winter flying the coupe; spring is now here.  The bottle brush have started to blossom and I believe our little mate here is enjoying the flight with his goggles on, tongue out for balance, and hair slicked back.  What do you think?  (PS:  before you answer.  Yes, it is Friday but no happy juice took part in this exercise!)  Have a great weekend!  :)

Day 148 - Night Cruising.

Only two days of winter left.  Saturday we officially say goodbye, and hello spring.  Walking along the Esplanade tonight the  boats were tucked safely in the marina for the night.  As the full moon shone down and fingers of the clouds reached out to cover it.  A great way to end the day. :)

Day 147 - Fusion.

Blending old and new cling to the branch, trying not to fall.  Whilst, pristine shoots continue to form all around.  The cycle of life persists even as the colour fades, and the wrinkles start to show.  However, it is never too late to learn new things, from the new or old.  Until the inevitable fall from the branch; learn, live, and enjoy the sunshine.  :)

Day 146 - Morning 'sunshine'.

Winter is drawing to an end and while there is still a 'fresh' breeze in the morning.  The days are certainly heating up again.    A gentle breeze blew over the inlet this morning, as big boats laid at anchor in the marina.  The sea plane was having a sleep in, on the open water with the early birds trying to get a bite.  A beautiful winter morning.

Day 145 - It's just a step to the left...

One of my favourite movies; Rocky Horror Picture Show.  It was my first 'grown up' movie I was allowed to see with my sister and I wondered why everyone threw the rice at the wedding scene.  Then, those very interesting costumes.  So I figured out our little feathered friend was doing his own version entertaining the family today. :)

Day 144 - Chill day.

Yesterday, wow, what a day.  Awesome x 10 at the wedding it was so great.  Maybe a wee bit of a bubble fog today, but the sun is slowly setting and all is well with the world.  After a huge, exciting day yesterday it was nice to chill out at the beach, at Palm Cove.  Happy days.

Day 143 - Love and secrets shared.

True love is hard to find.  So when it comes along you have to grab it with both hands and jump in; even though that may scare you silly.  Ellis Beach was transformed into a magical garden, for Sally and Josh's wedding.    Surrounded by love, and seeing them look at one another with such love in their eyes was a beautiful sight.  Wish you guys nothing but happiness in the future.  Thank you for letting me share with you an awesome day. Keep the love flowing.  xoxo :)

Day 142 - Daffodil Day.

One of the Cancer Council's biggest fundraiser days.  Daffodil is a beautiful flower, symbolising rebirth, new beginnings, unrequited love.  It is also a symbol of spring.  For the Cancer Council it is a symbol of Hope.  That one day they can find a cure for this disease that touches everyone directly or indirectly.  Wouldn't it be amazing if that came true in our lifetime.  If not, I hope it's not too far away.

Day 141 - Fallen.

Broken, dried up, and shadows drawing near.  Beauty still shines through.  Wrinkles grow deeper with age and loss of moisture.  Yet the happy lines shine through of a life well lived.  Hanging out, blowing in the breeze and going with the flow.  A great way to lead a chilled leaf life.  :)
